On June 10th, CISRUL started its new ‘Talking Difference’ interview series with a bang. Africana philosopher, phenomenologist and Fanon expert Lewis R. Gordon joined us for a thoughtful and thought-provoking event that will stay in the minds of the audience for a long time. The recording of the event can be found here.

Interviewer Ritu Vij concluded, “This has been a masterclass in how to begin to think about conceptualizing ‘difference’ differently. In the span of two hours, you’ve walked us through the limits of liberal abstractions, post-modern, post-structural intertextualities, the limits of Afropessimist thought, post-colonial and de-colonial negations, insufficient to the task. And I think what you’ve left us with is a lot to think about.”
